Sixth Annual Conference on Inclusiveness
The 'isms Project, An Honest Discussion
October 5, 2004

The 'isms Project at TCU

2004-2005

This program is designed to empower students to discuss 'isms on our campus and in society. During the Conference on Inclusiveness, several 'isms will be expressed creatively by groups of students beginning at 1:00 p.m. We will also provide information regarding these and possibly other 'isms in a booklet. Breakout sessions will be conducted from 3:00 to 4:30. We will discuss the 'isms in greater detail at this time and develop action steps/activities designed to diminish the negative impact of these 'isms throughout the academic year. It is our hope that individuals attending the breakout sessions will volunteer to participate in one or more of these activities. We will reconvene the entire group at 4:30 p.m. to share our plans and celebrate over dinner.

The Monthly Luncheon Forums will then provide opportunities for groups to share what they are doing, or have done, to address their particular 'isms and solicit additional input/support from luncheon participants.

We hope to celebrate our many successes at the end of the academic year.
